Apple apparently wants to complement the Internet Radio Beats medium term to more channels. Apple Plans to Increase Internet Radio Beats Further Transmitter

Beats 1 went in June along with the music streaming service Apple Music at the start. Beats 1 may be consulted free of charge and is available in more than 100 countries. For the first time rumors of more beats channels came on in August. Beats 1 sends twelve hours a day from studios in Los Angeles, New York and London. Apple could start, for example, beats 2 in Australia and Asia and thus send 24 hours straight or more live TV channels for special events such as Christmas or at music events, switch online.

Beats 1 can be heard on iTunes and the music app of iOS and TVOS.
