Google Alerts Monitor Your Web Online Reputation

Google alerts are enormously powerful and free web monitoring resource to determine your online reputation based on alexa traffic rank, social activities and other factors of your website or blogs. Google alerts abstract web data which is calculate by a third party website analysis service, in my case I am using WEbsiteOutlook to analysis my blog lablance.com.

How Google Alerts works?
Google Alerts monitor the web for certain key phrases and deliver new events by an email or update RSS feed when it finds. For instance, if you have published a new post on your blog, when Google indexed your post URL’s you would get alerted if they matched with your alerts settings (email or rss).

How to setup Google Alerts?
You can setup a Google alerts in two ways, an email notification (Best Result) when Google consider the post content as high quality content and second is RSS feed (All Updates). In other words Google Alerts provides you a strong filter to analysis ‘high quality content’ and you can use this filter to measure the quality of the content in Google’s Eyes for your own blogs content.

Go to Google Alerts Page
Type your site URL in serch box (eg: lablance.com)
Expand "Show Option" button set following option:
How often:    At most once a day
Sources:       Automatic
Language:     English
Region:         Any Region
How many:    All results
Deliver to:     RSS feed
And click on Create alert Button.

This will create RSS feed to your blog post and it will update when you publish a new post.
