In a public blog post WhatsApp announced, End of the support
for different older version of Mobile operating systems offered by Google,
Apple, BlackBerry and Microsoft. After the 7th anniversary of the service would
be to pursue other security functions in the future. With grounds of a high
development effort and lack, features one has now announced to no longer support.
“As we look ahead to our next seven years, we want to focus
our efforts on the mobile platforms the vast majority of people use.” So, by
the end of 2016, we will be ending support for WhatsApp Messenger on the
following mobile platforms:
- BlackBerry versions including BB 10 OS
- Windows Phone 7.1
- Android 2.1 + 2.2
- Nokia S40
- Nokia Symbian S60
