Announced in early October
during the Microsoft event, the new Facebook Beta app for Windows 10 is now
available for download from the Windows Store. The only problem is that the app
cannot be used by users. Use should only be released when the official
announcement is made available.
According to the
description in the Windows Store, the new Facebook app for Windows 10 Beta
allows users to share status updates, photos and videos, follow the friends
status updates and receive notifications when someone like or comment on your
posts.
The store listing does
reveal screenshots of what the app will look like however, which is a first as
we’ve not yet seen the desktop Facebook app for Windows 10. Trying to download
the app if you’re not part of the beta test will likely result in the app not
working for you, so keep that in mind.
Microsoft and Facebook
have not yet released a date for the launch of the new app.
