Globally,
Huawei is currently on a smartphone market share in the mid-single digits and
therefore still in third place, behind Samsung and Apple cut off. In its home
market of China, the company encounters against the top dogs at the same level.
Some market observers such as GfK see Huawei currently here even slightly
forward. Part of the success of Huawei is also that the company has its brand awareness increases outside of the Chinese market and established with Honor a cool new brand of smartphones with very good value for money. That Huawei reportedly makes the next Nexus smartphone for Google, an accolade tantamount.
For this
year, Huawei is planning among other things, the entry into the US market and
the development of wearable Business for the smartphone market. By 2017, the
company also wants to increase the number of retail stores from the current
30,000 to 70,000.
Huawei
has sold 48.2 million smartphones in the first half 2015. This corresponds to a
YoY increase of 39 percent, the Chinese company announced. It attacked the
Huawei customers not only to cheap smartphones, but also increasingly to
better-equipped devices of medium to upper class. Around seven million units of
the Ascend P7 , five million pieces of Ascend Mate 7 and one million units of
the new P8 went from early January to the end of June over the counters. For
the beginning of July for prices starting at about 300 euro was launched in the
sale Honor 7 Huawei were in a week over nine million orders before.
That
Huawei smartphones are in demand not only at the entry level, but increasingly
higher quality equipment demanded by the customer, makes up for the Group paid:
Overall, Huawei business with mid- to upper-range smartphones grew by 70
percent compared to the first half of 2014. Devices like Honor 7, P8 and Ascend
Mate 7 make almost a third of smartphone sales of the manufacturer and generate
44 percent of the profit of the company in the smart phone business. Sales of
smartphone division was in the first half of 2015 7.23 billion dollars - an
increase of 87 percent over the same period last year.
