Apple Music launched music streaming service in
last summer, should now have more than ten million paying members. The reports
the Financial Times, citing informed sources. In December the industry expert
Mark Mulligan estimated the number of Apple Music subscribers to approximately
eight million. The Californian company has recently expressed in October to
Apple Music.
At the time, explained company CEO Tim Cook
that Apple Music had about 6.5 million subscribers. More 8.5 million people
would use the service as part of the three-month free trial period. According
to Mulligan Apple Music is by the end reach the mark of 20 million subscribers.
The standard membership at Apple Music beats with 9.99 euros or Swiss francs
12.99 per month Beech, while the Family Membership monthly costs 14.99 or 19.90
euros and can be used by up to six people.
The leader Spotify claims to have more than
70 million listeners, including 20 million paying customers. Unlike Apple
Spotify Music can be heard permanently for free - but with commercials and
various restrictions. Since November, the Californian computer pioneer attempts
also Android users of Apple Music convincing - with an app available in Google
Play Store. Competitor Deezer currently comes to about six million subscribers.

Apple music is defiantly a force to be reckoned with. Competitors like Spotify are going to have to be vigilant and innovative to stay on top of the music streaming industry.
